.TEL IDN’s available first-come first-served 15 June at 14:00 UTC and updated Reserved Domains list

IDNs under .tel was accepted on a first-come first-served basis from the registry Telnic from Tuesday 15 June at 14:00 UTC. Ascio’s queue has now closed and those orders applied for will be submitted to Telnic when they open. Registration orders will then also be accepted by the Ascio system at 14:00 UTC.

In preparation for the launch, Telnic have updated their list of .tel reserved names which can be found at: http://www.telnic.org/reserved-names.html.

The key change relates to the geopolitical names that Telnic are obliged to reserve in accordance with their ICANN contract, and following consultation with ICANN the list has been updated to now include both ASCII-only domains and .tel IDNs.
